After 25 years, we are still a country newspaper …
Created out of a need to give local communities in Liverpool West, Camden and Wollondilly access to news and information, The District Reporter was established in 1997 and is still going strong.
The District Reporter is a family-owned independent country newspaper that started as monthly became a weekly and to continue its future in the wake of COVID-19, is now a fortnightly.
We are the only remaining FREE newspaper that is truly local.
Newspapers that provide a record of events, announcements, and information have been around for 400 years - and local papers, particularly, have credibility and trust within their communities.
Advertising in a printed newspaper offers:
Local targeting; Tangibility and longevity; Flexible ad placement, and; Price-effective options.
Our aim is to support local businesses and we will work within your budget
to get your message out there.
